Michelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in trauma, addiction, mood disorders, and relationships.
As a practitioner she focuses on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is a brain-based therapy typically utilized to address trauma. Her experiences include working in inpatient hospital facilities, residential treatment, and various outpatient programs. She has also conducted research on psychological trauma and psychiatric and behavioral neuroscience with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Prior to becoming a therapist, she was a nonprofit director, an educator for the deaf in public school settings, and a private educational specialist. In a kind and compassionate way, Michelle supports her clients to help them heal, learn coping skills, and create lasting change in their lives.
