This panel includes C-reactive protein (hsCRP), Sed Rate, Uric Acid, and Cortisol. In this way they are used as markers of inflammation. CRP is a protein made by your liver. It's sent into your bloodstream in response to inflammation. Inflammation is your body's way of protecting your tissues if you've been injured or have an infection. The collection method is a blood draw, and results will be emailed to the patient through Elation, our electronic health records system.
